I cannot be sure, but I think wala pang Pinoy nurse dito sa Japan dahil kaka-start pa lang ng program.

Japan will start accepting Filipino nurses - but you cannot just come here then decide to apply to become a nurse. Sa Pinas mo aayusin ang papeles mo.

I’ve mentioned the requirements in previous posts in Timog Forum. You need to have a nursing degree, you need to be a licensed nurse in the Philippines, at kailangan din ng extensive working experience.

If your application is approved, punta ka dito muna at mag-aaral ka ng Japanese. They will then put you in a Japanese medical or welfare institution to work as a nursing apprentice. Hindi nurse ang visa mo kundi trainee or something like that. Trainee din siyempre ang sweldo mo.

Within 3 years of arriving in Japan, you will be required to take the national examination for nurses, given only in Nihongo. If you fail this exam, sayonara sa 'yo at balik ka ng Pinas. If you pass the exam, that is the only time they will start to change you visa status to “nurse”, which must be renewed every 3 years.

Given all the language difficulty and the hassle, kung nurse ka, gusto mo pang mag-Japan habang welcome ka sa America with wide open arms?

kung nursing grad ka…better go to US or UK than in JPN.better working environment, easier document preperation and procedure, better benifits and salary…

And YES, they will require you japanese efficiency, meaning, you really need to study japanese language.

http://www.mofa.go.jp/region/asia-paci/philippine/joint0411.html

Excerpt:
"The Japanese side will allow entry of Filipino candidates for qualified nurses and certified careworkers that satisfy certain requirements and will allow them to work, after completing training of Japanese language and others, as preparation for obtaining national licenses, on the assumption that the Philippine side will provide a similar framework to meet the Japanese interest. (Duration of stay: up to 3 years for nurses, 4 years for certified careworkers)

After taking the national license examinations, successful candidates are allowed to work as qualified nurses and certified careworkers. A scheme in which candidates, after completing training of Japanese language, will be allowed in professional schools that give qualification as certified careworkers to those who successfully complete their courses, will also be established. "
