i arrived here a little than a month. november 30 i had my application for re entry and after i got done with the said re entry i also applied for a work permit tho i haven’t had any work yet. just planning to apply as english teacher. btw, i am a teacher back in the phils.

at the immigration they just had my passport stamped: application- nov 30 and had me signed this postcard with return address.

i haven’t rcvd yet the postcard. do you guys think i will be given this work permit? from what i heard and understand we dependents are allowed to work for 28hrs per week.

anybody here in the same situation? i need some feedbacks. thank you and MERRY CHRISTMAS to all. GOD BLESS!

May nabasa kase akong book regarding sa changing your current status visa to working visa.

yung post card ba na hinihintay is connected ba sa working permit na sinasabi mo
na mangagaling sa immig.?

pag nag hintay ka ng post card coming from immig.ibig sabihin eh visa ang inaantay mo.
kung re -entry permit naman no need for post card. you can get your re-entry for
30 min only or 1 hrs kung marami kang kasabayan ng kumukuha ng re-entry

you dont need a working permit just to work here.
i’ve read your post in other(driver license) thread that you have a 3 yrs visa.
you have 3 yrs visa and thats enough. makakapag work ka na dito nyan
ang unang hahanapin naman sayo pag aaplayan mo dito eh alien card at passport mo
kapag nakita na nila na you have a long term visa no more question from them .

oh really! thanks for the info. twas nice reading ur post. the postcard-like am waiting is connected with the work permit. i have had my visa already as mentioned and is valid until nov of 2008 and had re- entry of multiple as well. it just happen that one school told me to apply for a work permit. anyway, it seems everything’s doing well as i came to rub elbows with one filipina who is in my situation and told me she just had her work permit a week ago.

thnx once again. ur post is well appreciated.
