“Ye-p, a Big -One is gonna hit us soon” that is what my grandfather used to say to me always after we had a shock wave and I would hide in closet.

Although we do not have a large scale earthquake in Kanto area for many years,it is a matter of t
ime and soon or later we will experience “Big-One”. Like the such we had yesterday will make me realize how much I am unprepared for an event of emergency. All I could think of was to grab my "keitai"cell phone and my wallet with few coins in it,and then run for my life out of apartment.
Shortly after shocks calmed down,I realized that I`ve forgotten many important things behind like bank book, seal(inkan),pas sport, residence card, etc…

Anyways, maybe it is better to prepare for IT.

Ako rin, nung nagmu-muni-muni ako habang naghihintay na ma-resume yung train service, hindi pala talaga ako ready if that was the “real one” - yung palagi nilang sinasabi na great kanto quake na mangyayari. Pati ketai hirap mag-work kahapon, ang hirap makatawag at di rin maka-send ng messages.

By far, lahat ng insurance claims e may disclaimer on acts of god and force majeure (tama ba spelling ko). So walang beneficiaries na yayaman kung madadale tayo

Siguro, I would better grab more important things than keitai (like passport and money). Expect surely that keitais are the first thing that will become “congested” after an emergency. Siguro kung may ticket ka din ng Lotto, make sure na laging nasa wallet, malay natin.

Thanks for the news report, Spinnaker. Yes, preparedness is the best way to survive a major earthquake and similar unpleasant events. We have an article about earthquake emergency procedures here (http://www.timog.com/forum/showthread.php?t=207 ) if you’re interested.
