marami na atang post about this in visa and legal issues, paki basa na lang iyon. marami kang malalaman about it. but if not give you some info.

what you need most if you want to work here is the working visa. how you can get it? the other people get it when they arrived here in japan. at first, tourist visa sila rito then kinoconvert nila ito for working visa. pero di ganon kadali po. marami na ring post about this in visa and legal issues forum po. try to read there. the other way for you to get a working visa here is to apply to some company here. like what i did. when you successfully passed their examination and interview po, they will send some papers(eligibility, etc.) that you will need in POEA as an OFW application po. pumasa ka man sa company, pero di ka pumasa dito di ka makakapasok here. so, parang dumaan ka sa butas ng karayom po. medwife ka mo yong kakilala mo, i think di pa ganon ka sikat ang work na iyan dito, wherein foreigner ang worker. sa field ng medicine po, medyo mahihirapan pang makahanap ka ng work dito kasi marami problema po. one, you must know japanese language 100%. two, you must passed some licensure examination done here. medyo mahigpit sila when it comes to field of medicine. kasi buhay ang nakataya po.

i hope nakatulong po me. GOODLUCK!
