Description

This worksheet can be used as a New Year activity or as a review for animal names. I usually set a time limit of about 5 to 10 minutes.

How to play:

  1. Pair up the students and have them put the worksheet in the middle of their 2 desks.
  2. The students have to point at the animal pictures while saying their names. (The student sitting on the left moves clockwise while the one on the right moves counterclockwise.)
  3. When they meet, they then do janken. The winner continues on while the loser has to go back to START.
  4. Whoever reaches FINISH on the opposite side first wins a point.
  5. Students then go back to START and begin again. (Repeat until the time limit expires.)
