Tourist visa three-month extension?

By the way, alam siguro ng kaibigan mo na lahat ng foreigners “who stay in Japan for 90 days or more must obtain an Alien Registration Certificate”.

I’ve known some people who was granted 2 visa extensions, so initially 3 months visa + 2 X 3 months visa runs = 9 months. Pero these people are software engineers sponsored by companies. Cud be possible on your case, just ask Immigration na lang.

thank you, pointblank! pareho tayo ng katwiran, dpat hindi inaabuso ang law. pero para malaman mo kung inaabuso mo na, you need to know first what is the law. if it states that a tourist visa holder (esp visiting relative) is only allowed to stay in japan for a maximum of 6 months, then it is clear na hindi talaga sya pwedeng mag-extend ng another 3months to make it 9 months.

my friend relayed this message to me to be clarified kung meron ba talagang ganung case? kung wala naman, eh ok na. meron lang kasi syang “narinig” na me ganung case for visiting relative visa.

hello gvidanes, i know someone na nabigyan ng extension though she was just on a tourist visa. her visa extension was just released 2 weeks ago. case to case basis siguro yan. actually, this girl is even working na rin here sa japan. Nagtatrabaho kasi dito father nya, and since she’s considered as adult na, di na sya pwede maging dependent so nag tourist na lang sya…after six months, they were actually hessitant to apply for a visa extension but since she already got a job, they did try to apply for an extension of her visa…and luckily ayun…na aprub un extension nya for another 3 months…just don’t know lang if makakakapag renew pa sya after 3 months…i’ll let u know na lang 3 months from now…
