Greetings to all TF guys!
With grin on my face, sabi ko “yes, because they do take a shower in the morning.” hindi raw sila naliligo sa umaga dahil sayang daw sa oras
to those TF guys married or living with a japanese, ganon din ba sila?
:king:

parang nakapanglalata pag di ka maliligo at the start of your day. sabagay, custom naman nila to…

Dati uso ang “asa-shan”(shampoo sa asa/umaga) among OLs(working young women). Karamihan ng Japanese ay mahilig matulog hanggang sa last minute sa umaga tulad ko:rolleyes: dahil mas mahilig kami magpuyat kaysa going to bed/futon early(or it’s just me?)… kaya lagi akong nagkakaroon ng eye bags:coffee:

hehehe… better that way here in Japan:D Maybe in the Pinas it doesn’t look that bad that way, because not all the people have blowdryers or it’s warm almost throughout the year so madali matuyo ang buhok nyo…guess lang…

In most countries - each culture, and way of living is different -
some people take a bath everyday, some people don’t take a bath regularly, some people do it in the morning and some at night…
Even, in the Philippines and in Japan - taking a shower in the morning or night varies… some people take a bath in the morning, some at night, some twice a day… it really depends.
Each individual and /or family have their own “patterns” or “style” -
When I was in high school, some of my friends took a bath in the morning, and most of us at night.
To each his own, and there is no need to impose your own rules…
Do the thing that you are used to, do the thing that makes you happy…
The thing that makes me happy - cleaning myself before I tuck my self to bed, in my clean sheets…
Next day, wake up- get dressed - and off to work - then get “dustied and dirtied” during the day - that is okay - because that is work… and going outside…
Then come home - and take a shower / or ofuro just before going to sleep -
that makes me happy… clean and fresh.
Some of my friends disagree- they would rather take a shower in the morning before going to work… then go home and sleep…
Well, that is their choice…again, to each his own…
Japanese are basically clean - they take a bath/ and dip in the ofuro.
But of course, there are those- who don’t take a bath regularly.
I heard that in some cold countries - some people take a bath only some days of the week…
And yes, girls and women of all ages - try to avoid those wet hair days - try to blow dry before you leave your home…
Right, Teddy?

Yes, ma’am:D Hi, City:) Personally, I take a shower twice a day in summertime, and once in wintertime. In between, once or twice a day depending on how much I sweat…
When I took a trip to Baguio in Dec. many years ago, there was only cold shower at the hotel I stayed… Noooo waaaaay!!! I would’ve had a heart attack, if I had taken a shower:ohlord: :nono: :eeek:
It took me a while getting used to cold shower in the Phils. even in the summer.

It took me a while getting used to cold shower in the Phils. even in the summer. As I said earlier , Teddy, there is no limit - you just do what makes you happy - take a shower once, twice, or no shower…
During summer here in Japan, I take a shower twice - after my exercises - and before I go to bed.
Cold showers- no way - am used to warm showers…
But cold showers are fun during the hot summer days - all you have to do is shout loud as soon as the water hits you… :yikes: that works for me. Then cold water will be okay. Just be careful not to catch a cold…

So, just once in wintertime, huh? I get it. Hmmmm, may not be too hygienic. But as CityR said to each his own. Maybe eating more of that gazillion calories a bowl of ramen and getting some serious blubber on would be more efficient…:rolleye s:
I as a cat don’t really take showers I just lick myself clean everyday especially after pooing. :growl:
Joke lang po Teddy san.
About cold showers in Baguio, had that too. What I did was do my jogging while pouring the tabo of water over me. You know two birds in one throw. Wait, I only have one bird…

To each his own.

Hi Dax,
Thanks for the follow up.
Yes, to each his own- do it your own way.
“When in Rome, do what the Roman’s do…” as many people say,
sorry, but for me, it depends -
actually, I do it my way…(ala Frank Sinatra)

“When in Rome, do what the Roman’s do…” as many people say
i still remember this phrase nung first time namin pumunta dito sa japan.
malimit kasi sabihin ito sa mga libro at general orientation ng mga trainee bago pumunta dito, so that we will be able to accept or understand japanese people’s customs including paggamit ng ofuro at night and onsen.
