Hi Sam,

I agree with Camouflage.

Sa internet shop, they normally go in groups, either for simple chatting and surfing or for serious work like report encoding or research.

Hope it could help you decide.

Haaaaaaaa! wala na 'bang iba?I build ,assemble upgrade, and also sell completely refurbished pc’s.Natural isa sa negosyo naisip ko eh internet kape.Pero pards so many are making tupi already.Meaning many are selling their kapihan. Why? Maybe maling diskarte?Kulang sa kapital? Mismanagement?Who knows?

this is my first post. I was also interested in having a business in the phil. I understand that eatery, internet cafe, money lending(basta may permit) are all good. I even went to the phil. embassy to attend a biz presentation. One thing I found out…you need to be there to manage it if you want it to profit.
I got 2 friends…they set up internet cafe managed by a brother… it was not managed properly and he lost money and even has to pay some bills. He started again, this time managed by mother…it was okey at first but the site was near a school so it was closed.
Another friend set up and had his brother-in-law manage it as he has knowledge in computers…yon din nawaldas ang money kaya, wala rin.
When I went to the phil embassy…they presented somespeakers and business operators that you can franchise. Their advice is the same. If you yourself can not manage it, then you have to let them manage it since per their experiences , we may have good intentions but our family back home may not be at par to the rules in franchising. And here, their name will be at stake for every franchise under their name that closes.
Hope this helps a little.

my brod in PI also have a small net cafe

though talagang in demand … puwede pa ring i-challenge

he he he business business
kung ako ang uuwi ulit sa pinas and will be having chance to open a business
this is my target

puwede ding ipaupa
or for rent sa mga namamasyal (tourist)

at puwede po bang mangarap? kung mayroon lang talagang capital, o this could be a partnership or group business

Why not try apartments muna if you’re based outside the country? Para pagdating mo dito may pumapasok na pera

Or if i could manage it yourself naman, why not go for a resto and/or a bookshop combined with an internet cafe on the second level? Hehe… Yung nga lang, you’re gonna need some real money for that… Hehehe…

Sa tingin ko internet cafe ang IN ngayon, medyo malaking capital kailangan mo dyan depende s a specs ng pc mo. I cant say how much in figures ung rental, pc’s, aircon, renovation, printers, sacnners and the most important MS license. BTW, there will be a nationwide raid to those who are using pirated ms softwares. You’ll be required to have 1 license per computer

computer shop (most of filipino teenagers are addicted to pc games, chat, etc…)
massage parlor… i think?

Food business margin is very low - averaging mga 5 to 15 percent lang so a week of mismanagement - pinambili mo ng Levis iyong pambayad ng koryente, then malaki na iyong impact on you. Not to mention na you need someone who can manage it day-today and get a “feel” of the place (demand vs. supply) siguro for a month or so bago ka maging confident na iwanan.

Same goes with Internet cafe due to the “lugawan” syndrome… lahat ng tao nagbukas na.

Internet Cafe in Bicol for example? You have to do more research though…

Tanging advice is, start with something you know…

i have been thinking of putting up a business in manila. i think i would want to buy franchise from SPA beauty parlor ( i am not very sure with the exact name). though, i am not really sure if they sell franchise of this parlor. this parlor targets middle to upper-lower class (hehe). last time i was in manila, grabe, dami talga ang pumapasok. mas madaling mag-maintain ng customers dito, kasi, mura na ok pa service nila. everybody wants to look good always. dito na lang sa japan, bawat kalye yata me parlor. pero, importante pa rin ang location when putting up a business. :>

10-03-2005, 12:14 PM

May study na lumabas na if you really want to make money doing a franchise, try to have 6 stores minimum…

But this is for the food business so kung parlor etc. might not be as valid.

For Jollibee, it used to be na bawat store will earn a minimum gross of 175,000 pesos per day. Considering na initial startup cost kung hindi ikaw may-ari ng lupa is about 50,000,000 pesos per store (license is about 14M) … in gross amount, mababawi mo na iyong 50M in one year of operation pa lang… [175,000 x 365 days]… although siyempre kailangan mong magbayad ng salaries, supplies, maintenance etc.

Would be good to know don sa mga may internet cafe kung anong experience nila…

Another tip pare.

hello,
Kahit anong business po maisip nyo, wala pong mali dyan, para sa akin Sikap at Tyiaga po,…lahat nang bagay pinag mulan pagsisikap…ano mang business kong walang determinasyon wala pong patutunguhan alam po nating lahat yan…FAILURE IS THE KEY TO SUCCESS ika nga, yan din ang sabi nang gumawa nang SHARP,na nag simula sa ballpen…ngayon look at sharp nangunguna sa bintahan nang tv,pero syempre dumaan muna sa maraming subok basta’t hindi kalang susuko agad lahat magiging successful…at kahit gaano karami ang pera mo tiis tiis muna sa umpisa,1st year of your business will be very tight…kalimutan muna mga luho, umpisa pa kasi…sa mga advise sa akin yan ang pinaka useful yong may pinaniniwalaan ka sa sarili mo hindi lang yong kakayahan mo,kundi yong paninindigan mo kung hanggang saan mo kayang magpa ikot nang pera…sa Pilipinas man o dito sa Japan…

My friends and I put up a corporation to do a floating resto in Boracay. Our target opening will be the second quarter next year. We are still welcoming more investors to join us.

It took us a year for the planning.
