May plano po kasi ako na i apply siya ng dependent visa since i got a working permit here in japan.
I hope to hear from someone who had made this before.
Tnx in advance!

Hi Dranny.
- Your Certificate of Employment stated ang salary mo per annum.
- Copy ng Passport Mo at Visa Page
- Copy of your alien card
Ang Dependent Naman is 1-3 years ang binibigay. Normally 3 years agad hindi ko alam kung case to case basis. Check mo na lang sa immigration.

At saka Danny, iyong passport ng Mrs. mo dapat lahat ng pages from page 1 to last…hindi ko alam kung iyon pa rin pero that was true for your my hubby and 3 kids…Now we are all here in Japan…my kids studying in Japanese schools and my hubby working in the same company for 4 years now…
Back in 2001…I applied for them about 1 month after I came to Japan on a Monbusho scholarship…but it takes maybe a month maximum or two weeks minimum to come out…Then you have to mail it back to the Philippines. I did mine via EMS (Express Mail Service) and it arrived in 3 days in Cebu…The visa ( in our case in Cebu City) comes out after 3 days after applying with a CoE so you must have your wife’s reservation for a flight to Japan even before the approval of the visa…
Ask you wife to use the Metrobank /NSO authentication process for her documents if you are not based in Manila…It usually comes out after 3 days…Just call NSO for more info…
You can use DHL for receiving important documents from Phil and EMS for sending to the Phil…have it registered…
Good luck,
Chameleon:O

By the way, welcome to TF Dranny.

Summary of the process can be found at Japan Foreign Affairs Dept.
http://www.mofa.go.jp/j_info/visit/visa/05.html
That might augment the good info given by the TF members above.
For the certificate of employment and the statement of salary, they
might be two separate papers. The first is called zaishoku shoumeisho.
The other can be your contract, which I think you can ask a copy of,
just tell the HR in your company want you need to have and for what
purpose will those documents be used. After 1 year, you can substitute
the latter with gensen tsyoushuu, which is a summary if your income
and taxes and insurances for the previous year.
