“On Monday, chipmaker Intel Corp., based in Santa Clara, California, said it planned to invest more than $1 billion in the next five years to expand its operations in India and invest in local technology companies.”
“Cisco Systems Inc., based in San Jose, California, said in October it planned to spend $1.1 billion in India over the next three years.”

I’m happy for them, as long as na hindi ma-outsource yung trabaho ko dito sa Silicon Valley papuntang India o China.
China at India ngayon are the fastest growing economy.

Was part of the British Empire while we (Pinoys) were still under the Spanish.
Amazing how we still “Espanolize” some words to make it sound Pinoy.
Hindi ko ma-intidihan yan.
Pag ginawa mong Spanish ang word… it’s still a Spanish word, isn’t it?
And English is what makes the Pinoy competitive sa world, di ba?

Mareng Dairy,

To houseboy…
I find it difficult to accept that.
The lahing Pinoy is very diverse… Chinese, American, Malay, Spanish, Aeta, at iba pa.
That would make it interesting, perhaps impossible, to compare with people from India… who are also a diverse people.
However, ang politics sa kanilang bansa, at ang training nang kanilang tao, and the more stable business climate…
all this makes it easy for Bill Gates decide where to put his business.
He intends to make a profit, and that’s where he’ll go.
And profit is a good thing.

so walang maka take for granted sa mahal kong Lupang Hinirang.
Perhaps someday:) , I can only pray…
in the meantime… dito na lang tayong mga Pinoy sa ibang lugar maghanapbuhay.

Good news indeed. Thanks for sharing.
Gutom lang ang nakita ko do-on and my contemporaries wish that they left the Philippines.
On a different note…
meh nagsabi sa akin that call centers have plenty of unfilled positions…
Can’t verify or assume that this is true though… but also said that education quality sa Pinas ay buma baba na.
Does anyone know where the Philippines stands in educational ranking?
Please provide a link if you can. Salamat po’.
