Yes, the Filipino players are known world wide - for being so good.

Wish the government would do something to encourage billiards and develop new talents -
Just like in Taiwan, where billiard is part of their school curriculum as an elective subject. The Taiwanese are catching up - the recent World Champion was a 16 year old Taiwanese…

Anyone in the government - can you hear me?

Billiards must be recognized - Filipinos have the natural talent for it - who will be the next Efren “Bata” Reyes? That is where we can get all the gold medals… Common think about it.

You should see how our players play against the other top players in the world. They are awesome.

Yes! I was so happy to find out that Ms Philippines won the Ms International title this year, moreso because I was in shock! We never really win these beauty contests anymore since the girls who represent us aren’t up to standards. It’s not their fault, it’s just that I really believe that beauty queens should be one of our country’s prime investments. Yes, like in the old days when it was still prestigious to win these contests. Precious Lara deserves the crown because she worked hard for it. It was actually only after the announcements were made and her bio was featured in the news reports that I found out that she was part of the EB Tv Babe Pageant in 2001.After that she went on to join the BB Pilipinas pageant that same year, though she didn’t place. She trained for the 2005 pageant and finally won a title.
See? She really worked hard for it. Just goes to show, you can’t leave it to pure luck!
What makes me doubly happy is I feel she serves as an inspiration to all that we must really set goals and work towards these and not just sit around complaining about our fate in life.
Congratulations, Ms Philippines! <And I must say, this post of mine sounds exactly like a winning speech!>:p BTW, Who is Alex? never heard of him

Hi Pinkaholic,
Many of you who are not billiard fans maybe do not know him… but Alex is a World Champion in Billiards - 9 ball…also, he just won the US Open Billiards last time. He has many titles… he is Filipino, but lives in the US.

For your information…the some of the best, if not the best pool players are Filipinos… Now, I hope you know Alex…
