Is Japan the best place to live (and die) alone?

Hello, I’m new here. I don’t want to give the wrong impression so I’m posting this anonymously. Ive been teaching English as an ALT for six years. No plans to get married but I might if I meet the right partner. Being an introvert I don’t mind living alone doing things by myself on weekends, like running and reading grammar books.

For an introvert like me, Japan is so much better than the Philippines. You mind your own business and live your own life away from relatives. No birthday parties, weddings, christmas reunions to attend.

When I visit the Philippines it gives the impression of being so noisy and so full of people I just want to get back to my little apartment in Japan for peace and quiet. Maybe I’m going to live the rest of my life, and die, alone. I don’t think that’s sad, maybe it’s just the way it is.

I don’t know if that’s true, but if you’re dutifully paying your taxes you’ll few problems living in Japan until old age. If you’re studying Japanese, you might as well naturalize as a Japanese just to be safe if you plan to live here for a long time.

op, im sure bata ka pa pero…
