It is obvious that we are much better off than we were under Marcos.

Definitely it’s better now than Marcos Regime. Arroyo is working hard for our country & we have to support her:wave:

Maybe the only difference is that, during the Marcos Regime there is only ONE supreme crocodile feasting in our land, unlike today that most people in the government are ALL aiming how to have money from our country…only from my point of view. Take care

Democracy we want, democracy we get. If we are smart enough we can get things in order. In our stage now, it is important that we grow, if only we hadn’t elected the Super Moronic Erap things could have been much better now. Erap set us back for about three years and we are suffering greatly because of our stupidity. I hope we can leap frog from here onwards.

We must always be on guard because it seems to me that our country is suffering a political HIV desease in southeast asia. The finest example is Loren Legarda a very respected and decent citizen of the country has turned herself into an attacker of her own gene instead of attacking the real virus. Before her was Miriam Santiago. Then there is Aquilino Pemintel who keep on bitching in the senate to no end for the sole purpose of getting back at GMA who did not pick him up as her vice president. Then there is Tito Guingona who is supposebly a principled nationalist but gave his all out support to FPJ. So be on guard.

Democracy brings out the best and worst of people. It is really up to us to be responsible of our freedom.

Bago humaba ang diskusyon, isisingit ko lang po ang munting paalala. Mula sa TF Rules and Guidelines…

Most of us are comfortable speaking in Tagalog, but some may feel at ease writing in English (and even some in Japanese!). In Timog Forum, both Tagalog and English (and to some extent Japanese) are acceptable. However, we strongly encourage people to write in Tagalog, to have a conversational feel in the forums (at para welcome ang hindi komportable sa Ingles). Mas mabuti ring gumamit ng Tagalog kapag nag-uusap tayo tungkol sa ibang bansa, o mga bagay na hindi maganda para sa Pilipinas. “Watch your language!,” ika nga.

I cannot comment on this kasi panahon ni Marcos mga 5 years old pa lang ata ako eh, di ko pa naiintindihan ang mga nangyayari sa paligid that time. kaya lang naririnig ko sa matatanda na nung panahon daw ni Marcos angat daw po ang economy natin actually kasali tayo noon sa third world country meaning umuunlad na bansa.
