You do not really need to have an engineering degree to acquire an engineers visa. If you have an education background in the field of technology, computers or special machine operations - you are eligible to apply for an engineer’s visa. I have recruited four young graduates from Manila last year and they were all given the same visas, three of them having BAs in Mulitimedia and one is an Architecture graduate. I do not know if there’s a big difference between applying from Manila or applying for a visa change while in Japan.

off topic pero may mga kakilala ba kayong companies na naghahanap ng filipino employees? grad ako ng business management dito sa japan and nag-try na maghanap ng work pero mahirap pala kahit na dito ko sa japan nakuha ang degree (parang ine-evaluate ako just like the japanese). i might be wrong pero i think mahirap dahil management grad ako, so syempre mas gusto ng mga hapon ang native speakers pagdating sa pagma-manage ng tao nila. any ideas?

Please dont call me the “s” word dahil tumatayo ang balahibo ko:D

I’m a stay-at-home mom to four beautiful kids, girl-girl-boy-girl. I started coming here in Japan in the late 80’s as a member of a dance group (talent) and eventually married my husband in 1994. I love to read and to surf the net during my free time. Ngayon I’m getting addicted to TF but no regrets. I love it here.
