Hello stanfordmed! Please attach the images in your message. There’s an option when you post a message, whether to include images or not. (The Gallery is not for putting images for translation.)

No wait, I’ll do that for you…

Muchas gracias! and sorry   …I didn’t want to take too much space in the forum area that’s why I placed it in the personal folder.

No problem. No one knows that anyway. I’m writing some guidelines for the use of the forum, but I’m feeling lazy these days.

Here you go. Only the top picture. I don’t know if it will work. Maybe you need to just try these out.

給湯・シャワー設定 (Hot water supply, shower setting); 温度 (Temperature); 優先 (Priority); たっぷり (Fully); ふろ自動設定 (Automatic bath setting); 湯量 (Hot water quantity); 温度 (Temperature)

To use the hot water:

Press 運転 (Operate) > Press 優先 (Priority) > Set 温度 (Temperature) > Use hot water

To use the bath (automatic setting):

Press 運転 (Operate) > Set 温度 (Temperature) > Set 湯量 (Quantity of Hot Water) > Press ふろ自動 (Automatic Bath) > メロディ (Melody—a chime maybe) > たし湯 (Add hot water) 保温 (Keep warm)

You don`t need to worry about above circuit breaker switches, stanfordmed . Everything must be switched on except ones that is turned off and locked off.

If in any case of overflow, switch will be turned off and there will be a black out. When that happens, simply turn the switch on. Your maximum ampair is 20. So,if you turn on your microwave oven and hair dryer and airconditioner at a same time, there will be an overflow.

You can go to Tokyo Eloectric Power company or call them to increase your ampair. If you increase your ampair, your monthly basic charge will proportionally increase.

Gud luck!

Hello, stanfordmed…

Gaano ba ka-LAKI yan bahay mo??? Bakit parang industrial size yang circuit breaker panel mo?

Anyways… medyo nakakabulag ang liit ng sulat sa photo na pinadala mo, but since mahal ka ng Timog Forum ay eto na, pinagtiyagaan kong basahin using a magnifying glass. Can you imagine the sight of that, nasa harap ng computer monitor with a magnifying glass?
:type:

Here goes, from LEFT to RIGHT, 1st row to 4th row:

Top row:
Residence (something-something) panel (sorry di ko talaga mabasa sa liit!)
Living room outlets
Refrigerator and cooking appliance outlets
Mashing washine (este, washing machine) outlet
Bedroom 1 Aircon

Second row:
Hallway / kitchen / toilet 1 lights
Bedroom 1 lights and outlets
Toilet 1 outlets / water heater
Dishwasher outlet
Bedroom 3 Aircon

Third row:
Entrance / bathroom / vanity / toilet 2 lights
Dining room outlets
Toilet 2 outlets
Gas “konbekku” or “konpekku” outlet - sorry, it’s too small to read, but if the apartment comes with a gas convection oven, this is probably it.
Bedroom 2 aircon

Lowest row:
Living room / dining room lights
Bedroom 2 / bedroom 3 lights & outlets
Vanity outlets
Living room / dining room aircon
blank (spare)

If you can take another photo of the two breakers that are too small for me to read, I can translate those for you.

Please note that the dishwasher, gas “konbekku”, and spare breakers seem to be turned off. So kung hindi mo mapa-andar yung diswasher mo, this is probably the problem - walang kuryente.

No need to worry about asking the power company to upgrade your breakers - as is, your system is already overspecified! The 20 amperes you see is just for EACH circuit, which is unlikely to be exceeded unless you decide to dry your hair, roast a turkey, and use a jackhammer all at the same time inside one bedroom. The major appliances all have individual breakers, so there should be little risk of the breakers tripping.

The photo does not show the rating capacity of your entire apartment, but based on the number of breakers, I suspect that it is at least 50 or 60 amperes, so you should be okay. Gaano ba kalaki ang living-dining room mo? Pwede yatang pang ballroom dancing! :yippee: Note that the voltage of your living room aircon is 200V (vis-a-vis 100V for ordinary houses), meaning to say na commercial size ito!! Not even the luxury gaijin apartments that I handle here in Minato-ku in Tokyo have 200V aircons!

To those who are not sure how to read them:
給湯(kyuto)きゅうとう
温度(ondo)おんど
自動(jido)じどう
運転(unten)うんてん
優先(yusen)ゆうせん
設定(settei)せってい
湯量(yuryo) ゆりょう note that exceptionally this is a mixture of On-yomi and Kun-yomi, you don’t say Toryo in this case. Advanced students may know the words 湯桶(yuto) , 重箱(jubako) these are the names for such a mixed way of reading.

Note: I strongly suggest if you want to learn a kanji, you should write it many times, rather than just admiring it.
