hello TF members!
noticed the TF statistics on the front page? it says “most users ever online was 14, yesterday (september 22) at 10:53 am.” i find that hard to believe because the most users online that i’ve seen personally is 5. and before that was 4 and before that was 3…
so a jump from 5 to 14 is surprising. it might be some search bots crawling over the site but 14 crawlers all at once?! is there anyone here who accessed the site on september 22 around that time? i didn’t and i’m curious.

i was online at that time and i was surprised as well 'coz the other 13 were all “guests”. i just thought that maybe it was a glitch.

right. akala ko biglang naging popular ang timog forum, haha.
i’m not sure that’s a glitch, though. they’re probably web crawlers and search bots, automated programs from search engines and spammers. hmm… that last one makes me nervous.

yup, i was online today at 9:48PM and the bots were all over the site, spiking the “most users online” to 11. i did some sleuthing and found out they’re probably yahoo-inktomi crawlers. not too bad.

was just 2 years ago? ang most users online yata here is something like 100 to 200?

Actually, to date, the “most users ever online was 408, 05-05-2006 at 08:31 PM.” Indeed, Timog Forum has come a long way. :king:

Parang malayong alaala na lang ang mga iyan lalo na para sa mga bumubuo ng admin at matagal na miyembro na dito.
With what i read from some of the moderators’ post, the host server for Timog is having some hard time keeping up with heavy traffic because of many users accessing the site especially at peak hours.
Malayo na nga ang narating ng Timog Forum.
