Good evening to everybody.
I need help on this one.
sa luma kong computer may nag pa-pop-up na message something like this:
[ if your computer is running slow you may have a spyware on it, install ADWARE now]
parang ganto ang message, i dont remember exactly.
then last saturday nga bumli ako ng bagong computer,kagabi lumabas nanaman ang message. What is this? ng mag-virus scan ako (NortonAnti-Virus) eto naan ang message:
filename: mtrslib2[1].js ADWARE.CDT__________ _Risk
nadelete naman sya.
ano kaya ang dapat kong gawin. Naka Norton Anti-virus at Norton Firewall naman ako, is this enough to protect (me)my computer for virus and spies on the net?
Please Help.

this is exactly what i meant when i said you won’t have these types of problems if you got a mac instead of a windows machine…

i use Norton Internet Security on my PC desktop at the lab and Zone Alarm Pro on my lab-issued Thinkpad… i don’t use internet explorer and outlook express… no p2p software except bit torrent… i use Spybot Search & Destroy to get rid of spyware… i keep my virus definitions and windows security patches up-to-date and fortunately. my computers haven’t been infected yet…
that said, i use a Powerbook running 24/7 at home and never had to worry about these stuff…

noong merong lumabas na message: [if your computer is running slow you may have a spyware on it, install ADWARE now], in-install mo ba yang ADWARE? Kung in-install mo, yan siguro yong nakita ng Norton Antivirus.
Kaya mas maganda kung i-ignore mo na lang lahat ng mga nagpa-popup na messages. example: [it appears that your computer clock is wrong, click here to correct it], yan mga ganyang tipong popups. maganda rin kung gumamit ka ng Firefox pag-browse ng internet instead of Internet Explorer dahil bina-block nito ang mga popups.

Kahit luma na itong thread, i would like to share my little experience about Norton AV and Firewall. Basically, this software is good. Guwardiya sarado ka talaga. Actually hindi lahat ng virus alert nito ay harmfull virus. Kahit ang simpleng installation process ay considered na may intruder, so you have to know what programs are running and accessing your pc for you to confirm Norton software to allow them from running. I do not recommend this software for beginners.
