The centers of Filipino population in Tochigi Prefecture are the capital, Utsunomiya, with 854 Filipinos, and the southern cities at the border with the prefectures of Gunma, Saitama and Ibaraki: Oyama with 844 Filipinos, Ashikaga (630), Mooka (579) and Tochigi City (565).[1:1]

Tochigi Prefecture
Tochigi Prefecture (栃木県, Tochigi-ken) is a prefecture of Japan located in the Kantō region of Honshu. It has a population of 1,897,649 (1 June 2023) and has a geographic area of 6,408 km². Tochigi Prefecture borders Fukushima Prefecture to the north, Gunma Prefecture to the west, Saitama Prefecture to the south, and Ibaraki Prefecture to the southeast.[3]
Maebashi is the capital and Takasaki is the largest city of Gunma Prefecture, with other major cities including Ōta, Isesaki, and Kiryū.[3:1]

Tochigi Prefecture is separated from Tokyo by Saitama Prefecture. Its relatively low numbers of Filipino residents reflect its distance from the capital.
